Leonardo DiCaprio Purchases Malibu Home for $13.8 Million

The actor has also just listed a different Malibu property he’s had since ‘98

Leonardo DiCaprio has had a busy summer buying and selling real estate. In May, the Academy Award winner purchased a four bedroom home in Los Feliz for $7.1 million, then listed another Los Feliz home in which a family member reportedly lived for $5.75 million. Now, to cap things off before fall officially begins, DiCaprio has listed his longtime Malibu three bedroom home and purchased a different Malibu home for $13.8 million, Dirt reports.

The new ‘Bu home was never publicly listed so there’s little info on it, though tax records show that the 3,200 square foot house contains four bedrooms and five bathrooms and that it’s located within an ultra private gated community that offers direct beach access. Among those homes is an estate owned by Neil Diamond and an extremely unique glass home designed by Ed Niles, the architect behind former residences of numerous stars including Justin Bieber and Johnny Carson.

DiCaprio’s newly listed Malibu spot has been in his ownership since he purchased it for $1.6 million in 1998, when the actor was fresh off of the success of Titanic. This home also has direct ocean access to the particularly desirable Carbon Beach. Originally built in 1950, but since refurbished, the 1,715 square feet 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home features an upper and lower deck, providing for plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the view. It is on the market for $10 million.
