Marra + Yeh to Present Climate-Resilient Toolkit
At the inaugural Murcutt Symposium in Sydney, Carol Marra of Marra + Yeh Architects will present insights from Design for Climate | Design for Change, a newly released toolkit for climate-resilient architecture supported by the Alastair Swayn Foundation. Drawing on real-world case studies, Marra will illustrate how climate considerations shape sustainable design across urban and regional projects.
A Career Dedicated to Sustainable Architecture
An award-winning architect and Churchill Fellow, Marra has spent more than 25 years advancing sustainable and climate-focused architecture. Originally from Argentina and trained in the United States, her career spans diverse landscapes across North America, Australia, and the Asia Pacific. Her work emphasizes both technical innovation and cultural sensitivity, with projects ranging from metropolitan hubs to remote communities.
Celebrating Glenn Murcutt’s Legacy
The symposium marks over five decades of practice by Glenn Murcutt AO, widely regarded as Australia’s most celebrated living architect. From September 11–13, 2025, attendees will experience three days of architectural tours, lectures, and events across Sydney, all centered on Murcutt’s enduring influence on design.
Francis Kéré Joins the Lineup
Adding to the prestige, Pritzker Prize laureate Francis Kéré, a close friend of Murcutt, will also appear on stage for two days of talks. Together, Murcutt and Kéré will explore the evolving dialogue between architecture, culture, and climate in shaping sustainable futures.
