The Colorado real estate leader has spent over three decades combining market expertise with a lifelong commitment to communication, inclusion, and community advocacy.

For Maria Gallucci, real estate has always been about more than properties. It has been about helping people feel understood.

Long before she became a top-producing REALTOR®, broker/owner, author, and advocate, Gallucci found herself translating an important life moment for her family. At just 12, she interpreted for her deaf parents during their first home purchase, helping them navigate a process that often depends on clear communication and trust. That experience would shape the direction of her career and establish a principle that continues to guide her work today.

A Career Shaped by Communication

As a Child of Deaf Adults (CODA), Gallucci learned American Sign Language before English. Growing up between deaf and hearing cultures gave Gallucci a unique perspective on communication, accessibility, and representation.

Those experiences became a foundation for her professional approach. Over the past 30 years, Gallucci has built a successful real estate career across Colorado while maintaining a strong focus on helping clients feel seen, heard, and informed throughout the buying and selling process.

Her work spans the Denver Metro area, Colorado Springs, Northern and Southern Colorado, and the Western Slope. Along the way, Gallucci has consistently ranked among the top 1% of Colorado REALTORS® and the top 1.5% of agents nationally.

Building Access Within the Industry

While Gallucci's sales performance has earned industry recognition, much of her influence has come from expanding access within real estate itself.

She founded Uptown Realty Group before launching ASL @ Compass, the first formal network of American Sign Language-fluent agents within a major brokerage. Recognizing the need for broader accessibility, Gallucci later created ASL Realty, a national platform that connects deaf clients with signing real estate professionals nationwide.

These initiatives were created to support communities that have often faced barriers within traditional real estate systems, including Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, and LGBTQ+ clients.

Rather than focusing solely on individual transactions, Gallucci has worked to create structures that make real estate services more accessible at scale.

Expanding the Conversation

In September 2025, Gallucci published her book, Raised in Silence, which explores her experience growing up between two worlds and the lessons she learned about identity, leadership, inclusion, and belonging.

The book expanded her advocacy beyond real estate and introduced her story to a broader audience, establishing her as a bestselling author.

Gallucci’s message has also reached the public through appearances on Great Day Colorado, podcast interviews, radio programs, and features, including 303 Magazine's "Niche Spotlight: The Deaf Community."

Leadership Beyond Real Estate

Community service remains a significant part of Gallucci's work. She serves on the boards of Rocky Mountain Deaf School, DOVE (Deaf Overcoming Violence through Empowerment), and the Colorado Association of the Deaf, supporting efforts related to education, safety, and community resources.

Her involvement also extends to organizations such as Compassion International, Denver Rescue Mission, and the Lion Project.

The recognition Gallucci has received throughout her career reflects both her professional accomplishments and her broader impact. Her honors include the 5280 Magazine Double Black Diamond Award, Real Trends Top 100 Agents in America, Tom Ferry Best Real Estate Agent in America, the Outstanding Women in Business Award, and multiple REALTOR® association awards.

For Gallucci, however, the common thread connecting every role remains the same. Whether she is helping a client buy a home, speaking about inclusion, or advocating for accessibility, her work continues to center on one idea: communication has the power to create stronger connections, better outcomes, and more inclusive communities.
